If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the eyebrows are the decorative curtains. Fuller eyebrows and having “brows on fleek” have become more popular in recent years, and women want to have them as well-defined as possible. However, for most busy women, doing their eyebrows every single day can become quite the chore. This is where microblading comes in.

Microblading is similar to eyebrow tattooing in that it provides semi-permanent results and allows you to skip the eyebrow pencil in the morning. A technician uses a tool that implants pigmentation, but with very tiny strokes so that your eyebrows look entirely natural.

For many women, this sounds like a dream come true. But what exactly is the microblading cost and is it in your price range? Read on to find out.

What is the Microblading Cost Exactly?

How much you’ll spend on microblading depends on where you go. Some artists charge as little as $350 and some as much as $800. On average, you’re looking at paying around $500 for your first session.

What Does the Session Include?

For your first session, you may be asked to purchase and put numbing cream on your eyebrows before the procedure. At our location, there is no extra cost. Instead, we make tiny passes into the skin. We then apply the numbing agent onto the open skin to keep you comfortable for the entire process.

You will then have your eyebrows microbladed. The price typically includes only the first session, but you can choose to have a top up several weeks later. Some artists may offer this as part of the initial price or will offer you a special price for it.

At DFW Microblading of Murrieta and Temecula, we require a touch up four to six weeks after the initial appointment and it is included as part of your package. Therefore, you won’t have to pay anything extra.

How Long Does It Take?

The process can take a few hours for your initial session. This is because it involves the artist using hundreds, if not thousands, of tiny strokes. The process cannot be rushed, and this is partially why it costs what it does. For DFW Microblading of Murrieta and Temecula, the process typically takes about an hour after your brows are numbed.

Your top-up session will usually last around 30 to 40 minutes but may be longer or shorter. At DFW Microblading of Murrieta and Temecula, our touch up sessions can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

How Long Will the Results Last?

Like any tattoo, the results will vary based on your skin type, the make-up you wear and how much time you spend in the sun.

Most people have a touch up at least once a year, in order to keep their results looking fresh.

You can also purchase a solution that protects your eyebrows from smudging. At our location, you can buy Stratacel, a $65 solution that protects your brows and keeps your results looking fresh.

How Long Does It Take to Heal?

It may take up to a month to six weeks for your brows to fully heal. However, once they do, you’ll have gloriously full eyebrows without having to lift a finger. You should remember, however, that the process is different for everyone and you may take longer to heal depending on a variety of factors like your age, skin type, and health.

Is It Worth It?

It is entirely up to you whether you think the microblading cost is worth it. For some women, the sky’s the limit when it comes to how much they will spend on beauty. If you are one of those women, or you want to splurge, it is likely worth the investment to wake up with perfect brows every morning.
